One of the requirements to enjoy our services here at Sharemoney is to create an account with us. Take note that we are not charging any fees for signing up with us. Once you have created this account and your information has been verified, you can begin enjoying our services. Use the ‘Send Now’ button upon access of your Sharemoney account and from there, you simply have to fill in any details needed in order to make a fund transfer.

How to Choose Your Payment Option

You actually have three options of paying for your transfer, one of which is through using your own bank account. If you are sending money to a bank account under Banco Popular Dominicano or any other bank directly from your US bank account, you will be asked to enter your US bank record information, such as the Routing and Account numbers. This option may take around 3 business days at most, so we recommend this only for non-emergency money transfers.

But don’t worry – if you do not wish to wait 3 days or if your recipient needs the money quickly for an emergency, you have 2 other options.

Use your credit or debit card to pay for your Sharemoney money transfer for a quick, same-day money transfer. Please note that that the use of credit card for such a purpose may incur additional charges apart from the minimal fee that we will charge you for the transfer. In order to get rid of this additional cost, we recommend that you use your debit card instead. This one will only take around a minute or two to complete and is considered the cheaper payment option to fund your money transfer.

Understanding the Money Delivery Option

If you are a first-time sender, we will verify the account you have created with us and once your payment source and personal information have been verified, your transfer will be delivered to your recipient. You can choose from different banks we are partnered with in the Dominican Republic if your recipient does not have an account with Banco Popular Dominicano. Otherwise, you can choose to have the money delivered via door-to-door delivery or through cash pickup.
