Mar de Plata

Previously a retreat for Argentinian aristocracy, this beach resort is currently the country’s best beach resort and city. It is located on the Atlantic coast in the Buenos Aires Province. The lively culture and clean, sandy beaches are main appealing factors here. Summer weekends can be lively and crowded, and provide an opportunity to mingle with other tourists. The beach and city takes on a more relaxed feel the rest of the year. You are bound to enjoy yourself whenever you visit Mar de Plata!

Cordoba

Bariloche also provides a gateway for exciting outdoor adventures. Snow skiing is popular in the mountains. One of South America’s largest ski stations is located in the ski resorts.

Mendoza

Latin America is a noted wine producer, and the city of Mendoza is located in the largest wine producing areas. Mendoza provides tourism spots for wine, horse riding, river rafting and outdoor adventures. The latter are popular because of the regions beautiful scenery. The center of Mendoza is home to the Independence Plaza, surrounded by museums, shops, restaurants and other amenities.

Ushuaia

Ushuaia is geographically isolated which made it an ideal penal colony. It currently serves as a base for wildlife viewing, winter sports and Antarctica cruises. Hiking aficionados will find the Glacier Martial and Cerro Castor both exciting and demanding.

El Calafate

Once a sleepy town, El Calafate is currently a major tourist spot. The Los Glaciares National Park is the main attraction in the city. It offers opportunities for excursions and other activities. The city center is a charming little town with souvenir outlets and museums. Accommodation facilities are in plenty, as are the restaurants.

Otherwise known as the Glaciers National Park this is home to one of the most amazing natural wonders. Located in the Santa Cruz Province, the park has the largest ice cap outside of Antarctica and Greenland. Northern park sections offer mountain areas suitable for hiking and mountain climbing.
